Who is Dom Stefon?

Growing up in the small town of Cleveland, Tennessee, Dom Stefon had dreams of becoming a professional football player. He was the star player in high school which landed him a full scholarship with Bethel University. At this time in his life he explains himself as living inside the box. Dom wasn't open to a lot of different things because he was afraid of being strange to his peers. It wasn't after a rash decision to quit football and attend the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga that he found himself as an individual. It hurt him to leave football behind and he had to find somewhere else to place that passion and drive. He began to read into fashion, find different inspirations from celebrities he admired and started creating his own sense of style.  It wasn't long after that his peers were labeling him as the "G.O.A.T" . 

After a few years of becoming a fashion influencer, 2013 was the year Dom Stefon began making clothes for himself. As an avid thrifter, he would spend hours in thrift stores around Chattanooga and Murfreesboro finding unique, yet simple, clothing that he could transform into his own. "I didn't really have the money to buy designer clothes or really nice stuff so I had to get creative in the way I shopped for clothing." Dom Stefon explains. Once people saw the clothes he was making for himself, everyone wanted a custom Dom Stefon piece in their wardrobe. He was so overwhelmed but excited that there was an opportunity for him to do something huge. People believed in him and the spark was formed. He started doing everything to enlighten himself about the industry and study ways to perfect his craft. In the fall of 2015 he attended New York Fashion Week and was able to network and photograph multiple fashion shows.

Three years later, on March 1, 2016, Dom Stefon brought a baby boy in the world with his girlfriend Jetsie. This turned the spark into a flame and motivated him to succeed more than anything in his career. "Everything made sense when he was born. My purpose was him and being successful so that him and my girl would have the best life. I want him to look at me like his hero, like 'That's my dad, the one who went after his dreams and made it'," Dom Stefon says. 

Recently, Dom Stefon has entered multiple design competitions, participated in multiple fashion shows, and made custom items for many fashion "dominators" around the United States. His grind and growth has confirmed that he is capable of being the top notch designer he's striving to be.
